hi all my name is ben and im from urmston manchester

I Currently have a 1500 gallon pond that i made about a year and a half ago
its got a 8000lph pump through a 30w uvc to a home made mechanical filter then to a home made mooving bed filter with 300l of k1

It has 15 koi and they seem happy and the water perameters are always ok

now ive got into the hobby an learnt a great deal more about koi and ponds ive realised that improvements HAVE to be made and how a hole in the ground with a pump and filter isnt just that simple

i want to go bigger give them some more space and to make the water as best as possible for my koi as they are obviously growing faster than i had realised,

so have joined here to expand my knowlege and get some great ideas off you guys

will post a picture up soon of my pond

Hi Ben, I don't live far from you, welcome to the board.
If you're looking to build a new pond. There's lots of advice available on here.

Look though the the "Pond Construction and pond build diaries" more ways to "skin a cat" than soft mick in there.
