Smile Hi from a new member

Hi all just registered. In fact wish I had done so earlier because pond is now done and looking at other people's ponds wish I had gone deeper than 3ft, put in a bottom drain etc.
Oh well you live and learn, I do have the option of going deeper in a couple of years.
Pond is block built 10ft X 5ft and 3 ft deep. I have used a liner, rendering was way beyond my diy skills.
I have wrapped it around with deck boards.
Filter at the moment is a Bioforce 9000, which is fine, water params are all spot on, I only have a couple of goldies and comets in there.
Plan is to update the filter in spring with a diy static K1 filter going into the Bioforce (remove the foam pads and replace with Jap matt) as i still want to use the uv and back to the pond via a waterfall.
Then looking at placing in 3-4 koi.

Thanks in advance for all the advice I will be asking for

hi pal, i did the same as you, built my pond then joined the forum and saw others, then wish id gone below and above ground with a bottom drain but i didnt so ill have to live with pumps for the time being, ive just upgraded from a bio force 9000 to a kockney koi 4 bay filter, the bio force did fine at keeping the water clean but since i put the 4 bay on its gone so much clearer

i have about 50l of static k1 in my last bay with 2 9'' air stones at the bottom for when i need to agitate it for cleaning

keep an eye on ebay if ya fancy a 4 bay, i picked one up with 50l of k1, a load of jap matting, some pipe work and valves and some brush's, they also threw in the air stones all for £100

get some pics up of ya pond

welcome to the forum
