Hi everyone
Thought it was about time I introduced myself, joined this excellent site a few weeks ago , and have been busy looking through the various threads gathering info( bit of a novice at this game  ) however with all your help Im sure all my fish will stay fit and healthy

Cheers koimaster, I'm sure I'll be drawing on your extensive knowledge before too long, pity about the lottery numbers tho, cos after building the pond and then buying some residents for it , I could do with a windfall, just to keep the other half sweet | |

Hi guys
just joined looks pretty good on this site I have had koi for a few years been lucky but i need to get serious now
my system consists of a 3 bay filter first chamber has a 410 answer 2nd chamber has k1 and last chamber has jab matting 2nd chamber has two air balls in it from last chamber runs into 55 watt uv then into 5ft tall 12" dia homemade trickle filter with 1" dia black hose cut into 2" lths from that it goes into the pond vis venturi pumped around with a aquamax 10000
I have just fitted the new uv as my old one died how long will it take the water to get clear
i am wounding if i have got this system right because when the water was clear i never had it super clear i.e i could still see bits in the water peramiter have been very good (touch wood)
i am very handy so any diy ideas to make my pond better
pond size is 12ft x 10ft x 4ft deep two bottom drains one to filter the other to the garden
