Default kh

Can anybody recomend a good KH Test kit, i have fluctations in my PH and i fear my mains water is too soft.

Hi, you can get gh and kh tests from api on e-bay.

API Freshwater GH & KH Test Kit . on eBay (end time 07-Oct-10 15:26:10 BST)

Hi, if your kh is too low try crushed cockle shells.
I used to have kh2 and gh6 my pH would go from 7-8 in just two days sometimes. I have 2000 gallon and did put 15kg cockle shell in the bottom of my filter. Now my kh is up to 4 and gh7-8. I add as well once the week montmorillonite clay, suppose to rise the pH a bit.
Since I'm doing that my pH is rock solid on 7.5. Hope that helps.
