Default RO Settling down

Hi Guys
Well as it's been a while now I have been out looking at the RO readings and well pleased with the ph and TDS at the moment the PH is 7.1 and the TDS is 150 and the TDS going in is 9ppm and has been like the for a while now but I do notice when I feed the TDS go's up a tad but soon come's down so I think it's making me reduce the feed going in but also the ammonia is starting to creep up and just wondering how to keep the amm down? maybe water change? Cleaning twice a week now. but the koi want food food food but having to hold back because of the ammonia

Hiya Shevy

Think that you are pushing the system to it's limits with the stock you have in there.

The RO is just the icing Shevy, all starts with having bullet proof on the Bio front
.
I'm thinking that the KH is getting a bit thin?

Hi Guys,

I think Dave has just about covered it mate you need to have everything spot on with a filter that can handle the load and depending on the set up you need to keep them very clean.

You may need to do a bit more cleaning and keeping on top of things with the amount of fish you have.

What temperature are you at now ?

No panic

Control it by the feed, if the NH4 is up you will see the NO2 kick up a little more over the next few days but balance the food until you see the NH4 under control, should sort itself in a few days.

Must admit not been feeding much just twice a day could it be that the change of cleaning from once a week to twice a week have anything to do with it?
