The Tancho was a bargain buy, and has been knocking around in the pond since he was a tiddler. It's nice when one of the Tosai come through - he’s still got a way to go before he’s complete, but is getting there.

Wish I had Freddy; As long as the fish has two and a full set of fins then it gets a tick. Just occassionally things turn out Ok, but not often..

Paul - Acers, a load of the larger trees come in from Europe and exchange rates have gone agianst us in the last couple of years. They dont like being in full sun and prefer a bit of shelter.

Hi Dave, thanks for the advice on the acers, i,ll make sure i save a nice shelted/ shady spot ,for when i do get one. .I,ve just seen some of the acer japonicums on the net and some of there leaves look stunning (deep firey red down to a nice yellow colour). I think i,m gonna go on a plant shopping spree next year. I,ll start saving the pennies up.
Nice shiro/tancho too, and what a difference from the first pic.
