i have kept fish for over 20 years and spent 1000s on all the mod cons in the past at 1 time i had 3 ponds in my garden this 1 being the smallest the large 1 was 16 ft x 10 ft x 6ft deep

slugs worms tadpoles black berrys now i would be worried with all of that. do slugs not bring diseases into the pond.

well thats what my fish get look at all the crap that anglers put in fishing pools they have no big filters to clean it out and yet the fish live and grow well

yes very true but then when im spending 100s of £ on koi i would be more worrying about what i would be putting in pond. normal carp in lakes are more hardy i would of thought, but i understand what your saying.

my pond is just there for me to enjoy im not telling any 1 to do the things i do as every 1 has there own way of doing things the things i do have worked for me up to know i dont show koi and my pond as a mix of fish in it and cost me very littel to run my fish are probly more hardy than others as they live more of a natral life
