i would say 2000 gallons in full sun light you need at least 30w not the 10 w per 1000 gallon they say it also depend on how well stocked your pond is

Your right mate you cant lay bricks for toffee "there all over the place and not staight" .
I have to say ive been in the building game albeit as a carpenter for 22 years and have to say that is very very good quality and looks very impressive.

regarding your decking why not get lenghts of timber and router the grooves yourself then treat with the sealer that way you know theres no chance of anything leeching out

Any chance you popping down to Essex for a weekend to help lay some bricks

Blimey, very kind words thanks

That was back in August, I went with tannelised decking in the end - no problems to report.

Funnily enough though I have just this weekend finished the Pergola..

It's made of oak (which cost a fortune!) so nothing can leech into the water and all the screws and bolts are stainless steel.

I'm quite pleased with it but being a capenter you will see that its not exactly hi-tech (or straight)

Cheers

Paul

PS I'm now running a bigger pump and UV

Well ya chose the right timber and will look the muts once it's all had time to weather.

Did you get you inspiration from abroad by any chance has it does have a continental feel ? somewhere like blackpool seriously if i had the space i'd be opting for a much larger puddle than i'm currently planning ,sadly i do need to keep the workshop which swallows 18'x10' of the garden and only leaves my 3 year old daughter 25'x30' to play in crickey i remember when i was a lad we were lucky to have a blade of grass to look at

I havent even bought the bloody liner yet let alone filter/pump etc etc....
But it will all be timber framed with pagoda and of course LED lighting
