Hi all, finally started the digging today. What a nightmare as we found it was dried clay, absolute nightmare to start digging. We now have a lovely rockery in the front of the house, just need some flowers, lol. Here are some photos.

looking good bet your glad your not digging that by hand, now i know why you were'nt at work today, bet you been sweating buckets out there today, plenty of beer flowing i hope, lol
Yep, sure did sweat some barrowing the dirt onto our new rockery. Can't wait to get back to work and sit in my chair and give orders. I reckon we will need 5 grab trucks to get rid of all the muck. All of the grass area as seen in the photo has to be dug down to 4 feet. Ouch!!!! my poor hands, how will I hold the pen.
