| My Pond Here Is My first Koi pond it is 2000 gallons, and filtered via three chambers. Small Vortex, Fluidized K1 then Jap Matting. Then half returns through a 40mm return directly into the pond 18 inches from the bottom . The other half returns via My home made Trickle Tower. Filled with Filter wool and Flocor in the first layer then two of Alfagrog.
I have just started clearing the area for My next pond. What I would call a proper Koi Pond should be around 5000 gallons with another 1000 gallons in the filter bays. Happy Days.
It seems a shame but I will be knocking this pond down next year when the new model is complete. I will always have fond memorys of this pond as it is the one that got Me mad about Koi. It has taught me a good few leasons on how to keep them aswell.

| Re: My Pond Thanks Koiman.
Would You believe that although I have a 55UV fitted it has not been on yet this year.
I put it down to letting My filter mature. And fitting My Home made trickle tower Just seems to of given it that final edge. I just hope I get as much luck with My new Pond.

| Re: My Pond Thanks for the comments. My trickle tower is made of three stacker box`s from B&Q.
I have fitted a 40mm spray bar at the top via a 40mm tank connector. Then drilled loads of 10mm holes in the bottom of the top two tiers. The last box I have just cut a long grove along the bottom, were the water returns to My pond. It makes a good steady splash so plenty of free air added as well. The trickle tower is has two box`s of Bacteria House Media shared among the three tiers. That was the expensive part costing Me £280, but well worth it as this stuff is the Mutts Nuts.
