Default multi-bay help please

Hi all, I am raising my pond 3 1/2 feet above ground so my depth will be about 6 feet, i have a multi-bay which is 8 1/2 feet long x2x2 feet, vortex plus 4 bays, 4" inlet and 2x2" out, i've always been pump fed, so not too sure on how to set it up for gravity, all i know is that the water levels have to be the same, the 4" inlet is close to the top side of the vortex, i'm thinking that the inlet should be closer to the bottom for gravity fed, but i could be wrong, also what about the 2 returns, again i'm thinking ill have to seal them up and put a pump in the last bay to pump the water back to the pond, i've probably got this all wrong (as usual) but i'm sure you good souls on here will advise me, thanks guys, kev.

Hi Kev

Yes your multi-bay needs to be level with your pond water level, maybe a few inches higher so it doesn’t over flow. My inlet for the vortex is about half way up, outlet is near the top. As for your 2*2” outlets I would cap one off and rig up some 2” pipe work from the remaining outlet then connect this to your pump.
Hope this helps

No you don’t have to get a dry pump, if you already have a submersible you may as well use it. When you cap off the 2 outlets on your multi-bay use 2" threaded caps so if u need to use them at a later date u can.
