Hi Mark. Just wanted to ask, how many fish do you have in there ? With my last pond, I introduced my fish VERY slowly, and I STILL got NPS. Is ammonia still high ?
Cheers...Freddy.

Hi again. I'm just in the process of trying to understand and fit my skimmer. I thought I'd have another look at how you did yours. One thing I've just noticed is that you don't appear to have fitted either your weir or the wide mouth part. Any reason for this ? Also, I see you have fitted yours flush against the wall, which makes sense, but the skimmer itself LOOKS like it's designed to stick out a bit (around an inch). Any thoughts ?

ammonia is still sitting on 1.0 and i have 24/7 water changes going all the time.does not seem to be coming down and have stopped feeding altogther. i do have some big fish in the pond already such as 3 at 55cm+ and 5 at around 45cm so would say way to much to start with but its done now so got to try and get on top of the ammonia some how.

mine does not have a wide mouth part it is as it is in the pond, thats how it comes. as for the weir it is inside the skimmerso you cant see it easy from outside it. it goes up and down with the water level. as for the skimmer flush against the wall thats how it should be before you put in a liner as you have to put the front flang on after the liner is in. hope this has helped you out and if not ask more and i will try to explain better.
Hi Mark. For some reason I thought yours was a wide mouth Anyway, thanks for the info. Oh yes, you STILL haven't posted pics of your fish in the pond, very naughty
3 of the fish are over 55cm and most of the rest are about 45cm. they are all looking good to be honest with ya. seem to be getting ontop of the ammonia now as its down to 0.25. stopped feeding for the last week and also 24/7 water top up. also have been putting in microlift night out 2 which i think has helped big time and also the zerolite aswell. still no nitrite yet but im waiting for that lol. hoping to get the copping stone next weekend and get started on the pagoda soon. got the filter bay covered now with decking wood and looks good.
Hiya Mark. Some real nice fish you have there. My favourite would be the Kohaku on the right, in picture 7. Some of them look quite large, no wonder you have problems ! At least it looks like the ammonia thingy is sorting itself out.
