I went in today when i got in from work and even though the water temp was 18 o it still made me gasp !the missis sneaked up when i was gasping and caught me!! lol. The flow problem was an airlock, got that sorted and now its just right.

lolz ive been i my pond a few times this year , and walnut comes to mind , it dont matter how many times i do it , i still get shocked at the temps , and never do it in the winter , as the water burns !! your pond's looking great , if ever you get any flow probs , just check where the air block was , as they can build up over time , via normal pond airation . all we need now is a pic with the fish in the pond

hi Steve, sorry about the delay in replying . Yes,i had a mate give me a hand,he worked in a boatyard about 20 yrs ago ! had a few problems, eg, After doing the topcoat,i left it 3 days but it should be 3 WEEKS,as a consequence, when i looked at it after filling i saw a white film over parts of the surface which are STYRENE deposits and very toxic, so i had to scrub it with acetone to clean. It pays to read the instructions carefully, it can save a helluva lot of work in the long run.

sorry ive not been about for a while , but you could have drained the pond and cleaned off the wax&styrene will a very warm bucket of water with soap and a brush , it should have been left longer , but temp's going up and down ect , these things happen , just keep washing till the powder is gone , but this will mean filling the pond a few times .

one of the guys at cfs said to leave it 2 weeks and then test using a wet piece of cardboard on the fibreglass for at at least 4-6 hours take off and then wait 1 hr. Done that tonight and its looking good for a good rinse and then the big FILL

Been a while, hi all, got a big change to my build. After loads of grief because i didn't let the fibreglass cure properly, finally got probs sorted and will be testing it this Sunday by introducing a pair of Orfe, fingers crossed they make it !!
In the pic's i hope to post tomorrow, i have put a hipped roof over the pond to keep nasty s.s.w. helicopters from taking photo's and punishing me by installing a water meter JUST because i have A POND

Been a while but it's nearly there ! After the thread about the evil SWW putting up an eye in the sky, i went and put up a roof ! Bahhhh .A long slog but it has lot's of benefits. Here's some pics.

The two koi are gold and silver colour,i have forgotten the type name at the moment but the Comets and Shubunkins were there first and nobody wants them so i will let them live out their lives there.I am looking for new fish and need to know a fair price for a good fish, i am on a budget( as we all are )and not looking for the top of the range !

Anybody have any idea what kind of koi this is? I've looked around on the web but couldn't figure out what it is.
