Hiya Mark.

I can't really help you with your question. You say it's 400l? What are the actual dimensions? The reason I ask is because I was once considering having a marine set-up, but it seems that for SOME fish, the tank needs to be at least 4ft in length, and so I gave up on the idea, as I only had 3ft to spare.

Cheers...Freddy.

Did you ever get any help with the marine tank?

I only joined about a month ago so had missed this post

I'm currently running a 60x30x36" tank and have been keeping marines about 8 years.

hi Jim

i gave up on the marine tank in the end and went back to keeping discus in my tank. the cost of setting a marine tank up was way to much for me at the time. mark

Hi Chagoi2
the tank i have is 400 Litres and i had it made to my size. i buy all my discus from chens discus in harrow, london. he has some of the best discus in the uk, and is a greaat guy to deal with.i have 10 discus at moment. blue diamonds, cobolts, leopards, and blue turks. they are all young fish at moment but will in time pair up. before i built my pond i use to breed them as a hobbie and spent 1000s on building a fish house of which i had 15x 4 foot tanks running and 6x breeding tanks with 6x breeding pairs. it was dame hard work but great to see the fry feeding from the parents skin. have always liked keeping discus.

Hi Pondy nice to see you on the forum again, no i never followed it up as to set up from new and fresh was going to cost well over £2000 for what i wanted and i just could not warrant paying that out now i have my pond. so i went back to keeping discus fish.
