On a day like today, mine won't get fed until it stops raining.
It's not like they'd complain, or be discomforted as would some other pets having to wait for food.
One of my other hobbies is golf, I play three times a week.
Played in warm sunshine yesterday.
I'm watching the Open on the TV this morning, rather them than me, as it's chucking it down and it's very windy.
When it's like this, what with your clubs, trolley, wet gear, towel, umbrella etc., you've "not enough hands."

And there was I thinking of you as a hardy northerner .
Up in the rain at 7 this morning and fed the fish, few odd jobs round the garden - in the rain, and then cut the grass when the rain finally stopped at around 4, sun came out and it was shirt off weather.
Then sat down to watch the golf for the last few holes
"See that? They're struggling in the wind and heavy rain, it's very unpleasant and you often want to send me out to play golf, in weather like that, just to get me from under your feet, when I'd rather not go."
Then I got the,
"I used to come home from the shops with seven carrier bags (it used to be three but you know how stories tend to get more exaggerated over time) in the wind and the rain with no spare hand to hold a brolly as I had a pushchair with a toddler and two kids in tow and there's you with your wet gear, electric trolley and a brolly and you're complaining about a bit of rain!"
You can't win, can you?

No, I'm from Surrey, we moved here in 1972, wouldn't want to move back.
But this "soft southerner" dug out a 9' X 12' X 5' pool, in less than a week......on his own....with a garden spade!
