Yes that's the one, haven't seen the frog for a while, no doubt he'll put in an appearance in the spring.
So did the snake develop a small bulge?
I was only kidding about them being good layers.
The chicken are still young and won't start laying till the spring, so the eggspert told me.
We're feeding them on a standard corn mix and grit (to build up their calcium levels) at the moment.
We've been advised to start feeding them layer feed from next Feb.
Matron is currently collecting egg boxes but is also growing Thyme and Parsley as a further incentive for them, just in case.
We've kept tropical fish for years, mainly because in a moment of madness (I get a lot of those) I built the tank into a wall recess and we now have no choice.
Guoramis last for years, eldest so far didn't wear out till he was 13yrs old. The current occupants are only a year old and have settled in nicely.
But I did try an experiment that nearly went terribly wrong when I decided to find out what would happen if I put Kusuri Klay in the tank.
Figured that as the koi loved it, why not the tropical's?
Two table spoonfuls should do it!
WRONG!
It took three days for the tank to clear and I had to change the filters.
The fish did like it though and got extremely passionate, I had to put a cover over the tank when the vicar called to save his blushes.
Note to self. One teaspoon is plenty.
