Default Help With Identification...Please

Hi, just recent received a mix of koi, and i was just woundering about this one...

its about 6/7"

mostly white, few orange patches and some very small black, a patch on the forehead makes me think Taisho Sanke?

sorry about saturation of photo, the red is a little too prominent.

any help would be great.

Thats a very difficult question to answer you would need to know a lot more about it , the breeder whether its a Jap , Israeli ,British or from somewhere else .
From the size I would guess its tosai if its nissai I would leave it alone .

Sorry i couldnt be more helpful

PS: Get yourself a blue bowl it will show off the colour of the fish better

i think id have to agree with daran, if you could get us so more information it would be appriciated, however i will stik my neck out and say

Its a tosai(one year old) i say this just be looking at the shape of the head and the strength of colour/pattern. it is a Kin Gin Rin Sanke and would be classified Kin Gin Rin at a show.

to hazzaerd a guess at the value of this koi would be pretty pointless as alot depends on country of origin, breeder, bloodlines, size, all sorts . i guess as long as you didnt pay more than £75 for it you should be ok.

Bottom line is as long as your happy with it and you like it. the value of this koi comes down to how much you would pay for it? if you thinks its amazing and has great potential and you would pay £3000 for it, well then thats what its worth (to you!)
