Default any ideas on this one ??

hi all, bought this koi last year from a freind who sold him due to it outgrowig his pond .its about 3yrs old and 14" long now weighs 2 3/4 lb.
have looked just about every where to try and find another like him but had no success. he is my favourite koi out of all my collection but have never been able to ID him nor purchase anything similar to him . please can anyone tell me what koi this is??

first of all want to say the pond looks very nice, love the window. as for the fish its a hard one to really say what it is as you dont really see many about like that one, but if i was to have a guess i would say its a some
kind of Hi Utsuri. maybe other people have another idea. mark

Looks to me like a cross between a mirror carp and like mark said a hi utsuri

Picky picky Technically...

To be honest I have never ever seen a doitsu hi utsuri. Lots of ginrins which i adore...

It is but it can also have dorsal and lateral scalation... I've seen a few doitsu in shows and they've had this. Midorigoi being a classic example.
