now its obvious that the sumi is receeding, but what on your thoughts on this....

do you think its heat related that the sumi has gone like this or is this just the koi Maturing?

what a change the fish has had, its great when they turn out like it did but to only start losing it again is a shame.

Hi Pondy,

What sort of temperature was you running at before and was it much of a change ?

I never go above 23C (apart from in the summer in the growing on system which gets hotter in the shed) if i can help it as i found it does seem to have an effect on the colours of the fish.

Is the Sumi receding or is it from any changes in the system as i have seen fish change due to a change or changes in the systems or after treatments which can bring on a change in the set up and even stress can make some fish change.

Has anything changed in the system which may of caused this ?

I think the thing is where is the Sumi going and will it come or will it go ??????????? i guess it watch this space
