Exclamation How to keep cats away ?

Any good ways of keeping cats away from my Koi pond ?
Next door's cat no longer runs when I clap my hands, just stares at me !
Thrown small stones, NOT at the cat ! at the nearest fence panel next to the cat, BUT if next door see me they will surely think I'm aiming at their cat !
then WW3 will start !
There are plug in devices that emit sound, but do they work ?
they are supposed to repell cats and dogs with a high pitch sound which we can't hear.
I have waterproof outdoor plug sockets in a gazebo.

I bought 2 JML plug in insect repellers to get rid of mosquitoes in my pump house,........... the mosquitoes sit on them !!!!
Peter.

gotta admit i'm not a cat fan , people complain about dogs crapping everywhere , but cats are much worse , and thanks to the RSPCA nob ends and the gov , cats have the right to roam , but every individual has the right to protect there live stock , so ................

Allegedly it's cat food and 6 crushed aspirin. As you can see by my avatar 5 isn't quite enough

I might want to borrow one, if I ever see it putting a paw in the water,
better they see your snake rather than me strangling the sod !
Do you still have those Lavender coloured snakes ? they were beautiful !!!
I always throw frogs over the fence into next door !
surprised they've not seen me doing that !
Mind you, I'm surprised they can see anything, he only cuts the grass when he can't find his kids !!! LOL !
Peter.

yep ive still got the lavender ones , there my new breeding stock , though i have bought some bigger ones .

i think the law needs to be changed back , as the cats are not just crapping in other people's gardens , the worrying live stock inc koi , and there crippeling our wild bird stocks , i think we should call for a cull, like they do with the seal ..... anyone for clubbing

Default The nice old lady and the Heron, by guess who ?

Whoa ! I'm not been drawn into that one ! .... I can upset enough people all on my own !
I was out and about the other day and a nice lady remarked:
" how beautiful the Heron looked on the shore ! "

I did a jolly good mime of loading both barrels of a 12 bore pulling it into my shoulder and then sound effects for the 2 bangs !!!
She was NOT amused !
Then typical me, couldn't walk away !
I felt I HAD to say to her that Herons were vermin !
and not only did they eat wild fish , they also eat goldfish and Koi !
and so should be shot !!!!
She went ballistic ! saying what a thing of beauty they were ......
I said " so are my Koi ! and cost a lot of money too ! "
turned out she was the president of this and that local Ornithology Society and Twitchers Club and donates to the RSPCA etc etc etc !!!
She said I was a nasty cruel selfish man, thinking only of my Koi !!!
At one time she threatened to spear me with the spike of her shooting stick !
I was tempted to point out her seat was designed solely for people to sit on whilst waiting to shoot birds and other wildlife !! ............
BUT you know me ......... never one for upsetting people eh ?
Peter.
