IMHO koi are what you make of them, if they're pleasing to your eye and in good health....then....why not.
However, if your after a show fish, then that's another world really.
Just my opinion

Thanks for your reply I think it's a really nice fish.
I thought as I'm selling it (and it was sold to me as show grade) it would make a selling point!
What do you think about him/her?

Hi Adam.

Firstly let me say, I'm no expert. Your fish DOES have some nice markings, but imo it's let down by the head, very plain. No-one wants to put down what another thinks is a really nice fish, but it's not show grade, imo nowhere near. The term 'show grade' seems to get used all the time by traders. Basically, it's a lie, imo. I know it's not what you want to hear, but I'm just trying to be honest

Cheers...Freddy.

Hi Freddy, thanks for your reply, and honesty!
It's in line with what others have been saying about the koi.
Do you think it just has too much colour for a koi that's this young, ie can't develop much?
Thanks,
Adam.

Hi Adam.

As said, I'm no expert. Therefore it's hard for me to say how the Koi might develop. However, to me there seems no prospect of the head developing any markings at all, which is something that I would be looking for.

Cheers...Freddy.
