Default White line above mouth

Hello guys
Whilst giving a small bit of wheatgerm today, I noticed one of the fish with a white line above his upper lip.
I'm still getting to know the fish as they were recent additions (Oct11), but I don't believe this mark has always been there.
This particular fish had a loose scale surrounded by a red marks at Christmas; he was quarantined for a week in a 12'c 60 gal tank with some medifin & salt. After a week the redness had gone and he was returned to the main pond. Since then he's been fine and no sign of recurrence of problem.
When I returned him to the pond I put in a 25kg sack of salt (2000 gal) pond to help avoid further problems, recommended by a friend who advised that as the fish were recent additions and hadn't eaten that much after being transferred in, may well be a bit weak for the winter...

For the last week i've had the pond heated to 8'C after fitting a heater last wekeend.
Today is first chance i've had to get a good look at them all as most of pond is covered in large bubble wrap. That's when I noticed this ring above his mouth.
Water params are:
Ammonia and Nitrite - zero
Phosphate 5
PH 8.5
It's a pump-fed 2000 gal sunken garden shallow pond (2&1/2 feet deep); 95% covered with heavy duty bubblewrap cover and heated to 8'c, with 2 shallow airstones (as cover is on surface).
Total of 6 large koi (16" - 20"), 5 green tench (8") and 6 goldfish (6").
Cheers for any pointers
Ian

Hiya

Cant really make out whether it is a rub or carp pox from the pic, is there any redness around the white?

Sorry about the poor pictures; they took half an hour kneeling in the snow as it was....

There is no redness at all; in fact his mouth is dark, apart from the thin white line. It's not spots, it's a full line. Nothing on any fins.

This is the most active of the fish and eating the most; only giving a small sprinkling of pellets a day, but he's always there first...
There's 95% surface covered; just a foot or two uncovered. Covering is clear. Do you think he's simply rubbing his upper lip on the bubble wrap all the time trying to get to the surface... (kinda clutching at straws here...)
