new to forum with an ill koi!

Hi guys, joined this forum as I'm a bit lost with one of my koi.

I have a 2500 gallon pond with a basic 2 tank filter setup (brushes and coil) running through uv. I inherited the pond and have only 8 fish in it...4 golden orfe, one goldfish, and 3 koi.

the koi are about 7 years old now, and one of them has been acting really strange. It buries its head in some water-lilly roots and lets it's tail fin float out of the water, and spends all day like it. When it does come out to the centre of the pond, it seems reluctant to put its tail fin underwater. got it out of the pond the other night and gave it a salt bath, also treated the whole pond with nt-labs erradick last week. still no change! all the other fish are completely fine.

Hi Spidey,

There are many things this could be and the best way to find out is to do a few tests.

First of all you will need a test kit to test the water so you can make sure all the toxins are all OK like Ammonia,Nitrite and PH. If they all come out OK and please post the details here. Nest would be to take a mucus scrape from the fish and look at it under a microscope to see if there are any parasites lurking that may need treating.
