Hi Rachel,

Have you tried uploading it to Youtube?

If you can, you can post the link on here.

to be honest im not great with computers and i have never posted on you and wouldn`t know how to . But the main fish im concerned about is the one i manged to get a photo off . It has two raised bumps just at the body but at the base of the tail fin . it looks like two very small spots with red heads . They look bigger in the water than they do out of it . i have tried to look this up and i carnt find anything like it . Have you got any ideas what this could be . I would attach a pic i dont know how

Hi Rachel, does it look like these pics, not the best photo's but it will be obvious if it the same sort of thing. These pics were taken a year ago and I tried to find out what it is without success, I think it may be a koi bruise. I left it alone and a year on it is still there but not red. It is the same colour as the skin around it, ie white on this fish. No ongoing problems with it, in my case I am not going to touch it as it is fine.

I have another koi with two of these on its tail and they are also fine after a year. I think both koi picked these up when jousting for position during a spawning session last year.

I have another koi with a fresh one on its dorsal fin which is an injury caused by jumping. The spot has a a yellow head(as did the others). I will again, leave it alone as it will sort itself out in a few weeks.

Make sure you monitor it.

On my fish its not as big but in water you can see clearly its raised like your fish`s lump and it also contains the red in side but its alot smaller . The fish was brought a few weeks ago and was a fiesty catch so it what you say makes sense . I will keep an eye on but i do think its what your fish has Thank you .
