 sick baby fish
I have a baby koi in a hospital tank due to (what I think from looking at the smear in the microscope) costia. The pond he was in with other fish had just been treated with malachite green and formalin, then this little one started showing signs of illness, and looking opaque all over. I treated the hospital tank with salt and by the next day he started swimming better and was more active. My question is, once a parasite has been eraticated, how long does it take for the white slime coat to return to normal? I would like to put him back in the main pond, but am hesitant, as he still looks white. |
