Exclamation Koi Problem! Bacteria Infection? KHV? Help! ( Graphic Pictures Included)

Hi! I had a credit with what i thought was a "reputable" koi dealer and he called me and said that he would send me a 20" chagoi to make up the difference, and i was hesitant because i did not have a QT system set up but i agreed because he promised all of his koi were 100% healthy. When i got hom, he looked OK except for a split fin... After 1 week in the pond he looked fine (although not eating) but my OTHER koi (i have about 15 16-30" koi in a 5000 Gallon Pond) were laying on their sides but still eating when i came up to the pond which i attributed to fluctuating temperatures... After everything warmed up (it's been about a month) and some fish were stil not looking 100% i doses with PP for one day, and then 3 days of Pro Form C (plenty of water changes were performed) 1 week after the treatments ALL OF MY KOI look 100% Healthy and amazing except for this chagoi... After 1 week of all my other koi eating perfectly i was worried so i netted the chagoi and found THIS . I almost had a heart attack. All of his stomach is covered in the red, his fins are rotting away, and he has missing scales... To the point where i had to Clove Oil this koi . Now, i netted about 10 of my fish to check their stomachs and Most of them look 100% with one or two having a TINY bit of red. Is this a bacterial infection? Is This KHV?! Is this something that will wipe out my pond? I am currently dosing melafix and pimafix while my other fish look good... please help guys!

Water Quality:
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-40
Ph-7.5

Thanks A Lot!

The Chag looks to have had a severe bacterial problem.

Did you examine it's gills? If so have you any photos you can share?

You need to start with the basics.

Water parameters look OK. So you need a scrape done on 3 or 4 of the other fish to see if there is an underlying parasite problem.

Hope this helps

I examined the gills about 10 minutes after it died but could not get any pictures... the only bad thing that I saw was a little bit of white on the outline... from prior fish experience I thought that that was just because it has been dead. The bulk of the gills looked fine. No large white globs or anything contributed to KHV...

Hi this is a very bad bacterial infection the cause could be Parasitic attack you need to do a scrape also check for a build up of muck any ware in the pond or filter system.

So the gills were pink; thats good news.

Getting a scrape done is a priority. Do you have a scope? and whereabouts are you?
