Default small koi

hello all,
I have a small koi which is a new addition to the pond but i had for 3 weeks in a q tank.

after being in the pond for a week its decided that it likes to be just below the surface, its not gasping for air and there is no sign of anything wrong with him, as he swims normally and is still eating fine.

water tests are:-

Nitrite-0
nitrate- between 0 -10
GH- between 3 - 6
KH- 3
PH- 6.8

i cant see anything wrong with the tests and there is plenty of air going in and surface agitation.

can anyone think of something else i have missed.

thanks

Ash

Hi Ash

To me it all looks very good, could it be just that its waiting for more food to go in the QT. i would just keep an eye on it and see how it goes. mark

I would not put it in the pond until he got bigger I have about 30 in my Qt tank 15 of them were 2" when they went in and now are about 4" but I won't put them in the pond until there a least 6" and have put a bit of meat on
but it's up to you at the end of the day
