I have a mixed pond of Koi, Orfe and Grass Carp and lately a couple of my Koi have developed what can best be described as lumps round there mouth. Can anyone help identify this and recommend a cure? Thanks Billy

hi billy , can you get some pics up please , and we'l do our best
Thanks for your reply to my post, I have got some pictures which i hope will help. It looks like the lumps are bleeding now so I don't hold out much hope for survival but i still need to protect my other fish. Thanks for your help.
There is no cure or treatment for it just the Koi's immune system that gets stronger when the water warms up.
You could put some Iosal or the like on it if it looks angry it wont help with the pox but will help to stop any secondary infection taking hold.
Sorry Bandit but I don't think it's Cpox have you seen cpox? it's like candel wax an off white in colour and feels like wax. this a Job The mighty Ogawa

mmmm it is a strange one as when you view the second picture it looks very sore underneath the mouth and this looks like a bad bacterial infection however the 3rd picture on the underside there is what looks like a wax kind of substance
