You may remember before the original thread was wiped off that my fish was suffering with an unusual floating angle and an ulcer on it's belly. It would appear that the water quality was an issue dispite my thinking otherwise.

Wanted to thank you all for your previous contributions and support. The fish is now floating as all fish should (horizontal) and moving around less laboured.

I have purchased proplis to treat ulcer. What is the best way to clean it out before applying.

I've used either Roccal or Io sal to clean the area before applying any topical treatment and sealer ,works for me .

Or some HP and let it fizz for a bit

If its very bad a course of AB's will help
