is it a good thing to have salt in a quarantine tank all the time or no salt at all.
i read some where last night to have a good amount in the quarantine tank all the time but wanted to ask before i went and put some in. also if yes then what amount to a 240 gallon tank.

Reputation Level:  | depends mark  if your using it for overwintering small koi , with no problems health wise , then no , if it's for treatment , then use salt as recommended by any medication  |

Reputation Level:  | i wouldnt add salt , until you need to , as its a great thing to have on hand , and over use could lead it to being less effective in the future . |

Reputation Level:  | ok thanks guys i will not put any in, i have a auto feeder, is it worth setting that up every 2 hrs to feed as it can feed 8 times a day. |
