hi all
I'm having a big problem trying to get my ammonia down, have been testing it every day and its sitting on 1 which is way to high. as alot will know this is a new pond and new filter. i am doing as much water changes as poss but it does not seem to be doing any thing to the ammonia at all. i brought some microbe lift nite out 2 and have put the first dose in yesterday and have also put in 5kg of zeolite but having done a test today its still the same.
any help will be good.

lol like the ebay bit lol
i may buy some of that but so far i have already added 5kg zeolite and mircolift nite out 2 of which both are ammonia removers but i am seeing no different at all after 48hrs. just done a test 5 mins ago and its still on 1.0ppm,
the only good thing is its not going up any more but at that reading its still way to high. the nitrite and nitrate are still zero. fish seem to be ok and swimming about ok. doing water changes today but can never seem to change enough to make a different. oh the joys of starting a new pond and filter at this time of year.
is it really a good idea to keep throwing in other ammonia remover one after another mmmmmmm i really dont know.

stick to what you are doing......not going to be a overnight fix pos may take a couple of weeks to sort problem just keep testing and doing water changes.
plus get your koi supplier to test your water for you as a double check and then see what they advice.
well been out at the pond today and just had to fit an over flow pipe in so i can try and get rid of this ammonia with 24/7 water top up and this how i did it. look at pics. water is running in through a water filter in the filter bay then at the other end of pond i have fitted this overflow.
