any help will be good.

Hi Mark. If you can't do a large water change use a pond booster additive to the pond. I know you like ebay so here's a link.

NTLABS AMMONIA REMOVER POND BOOSTER,KOI FISH TREATMENT on eBay (end time 19-Oct-10 19:54:23 BST)

also have you tried adding salt to the water.....?

Hope it helps
Darren

lol like the ebay bit lol
i may buy some of that but so far i have already added 5kg zeolite and mircolift nite out 2 of which both are ammonia removers but i am seeing no different at all after 48hrs. just done a test 5 mins ago and its still on 1.0ppm,
the only good thing is its not going up any more but at that reading its still way to high. the nitrite and nitrate are still zero. fish seem to be ok and swimming about ok. doing water changes today but can never seem to change enough to make a different. oh the joys of starting a new pond and filter at this time of year.
is it really a good idea to keep throwing in other ammonia remover one after another mmmmmmm i really dont know.

mark

stick to what you are doing......not going to be a overnight fix pos may take a couple of weeks to sort problem just keep testing and doing water changes.
plus get your koi supplier to test your water for you as a double check and then see what they advice.

well been out at the pond today and just had to fit an over flow pipe in so i can try and get rid of this ammonia with 24/7 water top up and this how i did it. look at pics. water is running in through a water filter in the filter bay then at the other end of pond i have fitted this overflow.

Mark, don't forget what I said about NOT letting any part of your hands come into contact with the test water, it'll give a false reading.

Cheers...Freddy.
