Reputation Level: | its a bit warm for carp pox
that looks like fin rot , with a bacterial infection .
do you have bad water days ?? ie , ammonia or nitrite high ??
i would sedate him , give him a good wash and clean with wound seal and cleaner on the affected area , then add acriflavine to the pond , and keep adding it as described until it has started to heal

Reputation Level: | Thank you I have a bottle of acriflavine would you treat the whole pond with this or take him out and treat seperatley.
I have never treated a koi apart from adding treatment to the pond, so no idea how to sedate etc |

Reputation Level: | if you have a large enough holding tank thats filterd , take him out , but if you dont , just treat the whole pond , as any ammonia or nitrite in the new holding tank , will have the opposite affect on what yout trying to do
if you treat the whole pond , cut back on feeding , and make sure you got plenty of air going in
