I have a problem with one of my fish. It's not koi but hoping you can help. A friend gave it to me around three months ago & I thought it was going to lay eggs as it looked pregnant but it hasn't and I think it looks sick. It swims fine though but is discolouring at the sides turning silver. I've isolated it today and am feeding it peas (I read that on a forum.) Is it ill? Will it infect my other fish? How can I help it? I've attached a few pics. Thanks!

is it fat both sides or just the one ?
from what i can see i would only hazard a guess at it being a tumor in which there is not much you can do about. you can try a salt bath [not table salt] pond salt
Yes it's fat both sides and the scales are silvery, a couple have turned black. The fins are a bit ragged looking. I've kept it apart from the pond and I've put a bacterial treatment in it's water to see if it helps. It's still lively but hasn't eaten the peas. Not sure what else to do. I'll get the salt tomorrow and give it a trey. Thanks.
