Hi need some help - first time poster - one of my koi died last week (I have 23 in a 3000 litre pond - all young koi about 4 to 5 inches). looked like scoliosis (fish sat on the bottom then bent at a right angle - all in the space of 3 days). Doing a bit of post mortem it also had a fungal infection on its belly (v small).I did a 30% water change, cleaned the filter and ran a full water test (everthing checked out) two days ago.

So I now have another fish sick - a kohaku was sitting on bottom, slightly on its side fins look a bit clamped). However when I tried to catch the fish it darted off (so fast I could not catch them). Eventually got the fish out and put it in a 3 gallon tank and treated with salt (1 oz per gallon) and after 24 hours the fish looked ok - put it back in the main pond this monring - checked on it this afternoon but swear it was lying on its side - when approached it darts off again!

I treated the pond with Myazin yesterday and a first dose of formalin today (dosed the pond)- as I think this is parasites - fyi I'm running a full physical and UV filter plus an air pump. I'm just running the air pump just now. I also have a micron bag filter at the end of the water outlet. Water temp is 14 degrees. I've checked over my other fish and looks like my coffee gin rin has a white ring around its eye. I'm going to run the full 5 day treatment with the myazin (on day 2 now) I would really appreciate any advice anyone can give me as I don't want to lose even another (recently lost all my mature fish to a mink attack). All other fish are healthy and active just now.
