i bought a koi the other week which was in perfect health and introuduced it to my pond for the first few days of it being in it seemed fine happliy swiming around, then for some reason started swiming at top of water with dorsil fin just breaking the water, i removed the koi to a holding tank and after the first night it was back swimming as normal, i then after 4 days returned her to the pond which again resulted in the same senaro fine for a few days then back to just floating round the top
when i bought the koi it was in a indoor unheated pond an when buying it seemd fine an in good heatlh
my holding tank is in a shed (again in there it was fine )
anyone have a idea wot could be wrong wouldit be anything to do with the outdoor indoor situation
i thought maybe it could be swimbladder problem but why only when the koi is in outdoor pond ?
the kio is still feeding

it might be because of the temp fluxtions or the fact that you pond is deeper than the tank you have which would be why the fish can't swim down try putting it back in the shed and feeding peas to help flush its system out and fingers crossed right the swim bladder problem
