we use a product called Virkon S which you use once a week all year round, it is unconfirmed bet they even say it could poss stop the spread of KHV, it is a very good product and alot of koi keepers use it, i hope this is of some use to you.

Reputation Level: | Re: ADVICE NEEDED Flicking can mean you have a parasite problem, a water quality problem or you may not have a problem at all, so before you treat your pond I suggest you do a water quality test and check that your nitrite and ammonia levels are ok. If they are fine, then you need to catch the koi of one of the koi that are flicking and get a scrape done to see if you have a parasite problem, your local dealer may be able to do this for you. If you have a parasite problem you can then treat with the right medication, but there are different ways and medications for treating different parasites and without knowing what parasite is making your koi flick if any, you cant treat your pond. |
