Default Raised Scales .....

Hello All,

This is a difficult one to help me on but.

I have noticed today that a number of my Koi have patches of raised scales – all the water parameters (Ammonia, Nitrite & PH) are fine.

Any ideas what I can do?

Thanks

Paul.

Hi Paul,
I know alot of people with similar problems, if the Koi seem healthy and active I would use a topical anti bacterial treatment like Kusuri wound spray, pottassium permanganate or propolis, net the Koi, lift it gently out of the water and spray the infected area, you might have to repeat this every 3 to 4 days but should clear up no problem. There are other products out there that are anti bacterial that you can also use.

Sounds like dropsey.
Not much can normally be done to help.
