Default Treating PH level !!

hi all ,

i tested my PH yesterday and it was yellow , thats about 6 PH i think
and it should be around 8 shoudlnt it ???

so i went to my local koi dealer and he gave me some oyster shells and told me to put them in the filter , so i have done that .....

is this the correct way to get PH up to normal ???

but was also wondering could i move new fish into the pond while , this is being done ???

Cheers CrItCH - Jamie

Hi mate, I`ve done the same. My ph was around 6 and I got a bag of "coral" or shells and I put the bag directly under the filter return pipe so it was agitated. ph was 7.5 in 3 days, hope this helps, D.
