gas bubble disease is caused from supersaturation of gases in the water it causes bubbles of gas to form under the skin and on the fins can arise in well planted ponds through excessive photosynthesis and over use of air aids (venturis and blowers) and can be fatal if not remedied . its like a human having the bends

I was reading about gas bubble disease in the mag the other day but from what i can make out it presents as lots of little bubbles under the skin and is particularly visible on the fins and tail, it does say that its fatal to the koi but is very rare. Carla
