Reputation Level: | Interpet or NT Labs ?
Hello All,
I believe I have a problem in my pond as a number of my Koi are showing signs of Cotton Wool on their skin - looking around at my local dealer I see there are two treatments on offer. The first is Interpet Fungus & Bacteria treatment and the second is NT Labs FMG - does anyone know if anyone is better than the other ?
Many thanks
Paul. |

Have you tested all the parametres of your water first? if not would do so first and post results .If your pond is not heated hold off with treating pond until water is above 10 degrees or it wont have much effect.if your water readings are not ok.ask for more advice from the many experianced keepers on this site.We all learn from each other and i hope we can sort out your problem for you. good luck. |

i used nt labs fmg on a doitsu with a bit of cotton wool and it worked very well but as brett said you need to be above ten degrees more like 12 or 13 as a minimum . its quite important that you check parameters and get them posted , someone on this forum will give you the right advice . good luck m8

Fungal infections are usualy a secondary infection you need to find out what has caused this, first otherwise it will just come back again, test your water first if all readings are ok I would have a scrape taken from one of your fish to find out if any parasites are present.
I wouldn't use FMG if you have salt in your water.
Regards
