Default Help me Choose which Kohaku I should have...

Hiya... debated whether to post here or general as these aren't actually my koi yet...

Went off on Friday from Northants to the wilds of Lincs and Yorkshire and stopped off to see Dave at Migoto-Koi to sort out some stuff for my pond build, and to have a look at the kohaku left over from his G & S in June... posted elsewhere about that and how I got converted to kohaku... finally .

Anyway, I really don't want to put more pressure on my QT set up with another kohaku but as the 'Captain' predicted I am so impressed with the quality of the ones I brought home from the G & S I would love just 1 more...

Dave has about 30 left I think, why so many there at this price I really don't know they shine! After saying I would like to take a look but couldn't take he made me an offer I couldn't refuse... choose one and he would put it into his top pond to grow on until I could take it... So.... after bowling pretty much ALL of them I came down to a choice of 5 then 4.... by now it was oh maybe 9pm, cold and wet.. nice shorts Dave .

Here is the twist, and where I will welcome input as time goes on... Dave said he wanted to grow 1 or 2 on and so... he would grow on my final 4 choices and I could choose which one of the 4 I want when am ready to take it.

Dave knows which 2 are my leaders at this point... but not gonna say right now be interested if there are any comments heh. For what its worth... when I looked at them I am thinking what they could look like when much bigger... and not adverse to something a bit 'quirky' in fact the opposite, maybe a little something that pulls the eye if not traditionally 'show' feature. My 2 G & S are much more 'traditional' I suppose.

First pic you will see 5 - ones in the bowl are at 'choosing site' and the ones ion the basket are the final 4 in a floating basket. Like I said, I have 2 leaders in my head... but there will be update pics over time and my final choice is when my pond is built... so bit of fun

Hasegawa Kohaku around 18 cms -

The final 5 bowled >>>>

The Last 4 from which I will choose >>>

Thanks to Dave at Migoto for giving me this extra fun, and all for 65 quid - can you spot the one returned? Think maybe he thought i would keep him there till midnight if he didn't come up with that plan :0

Will hopefully get individual pics to show the develoment as time goes on if theres any interest. May EVEN give my reasons for these 4 just to show how little I know

My favourite is the one on the far right in the bottom two pictures . Let us know which one you ultimately choose Dave, good luck with the decision.

Hi Dave, I like the one with the button nose also! but I'm also drawn to the one on the left in the top picture. I just like how the pattern is all over the place.
