Well as some of you will know i have been after a Showa for a while and especially since my old girl passed on and whilst over a A4 Koi recently with Mark & Andy for some reason Showa kept going in the bowl................thanks Darren ;D
There was one fish in particular that i thought mmmmmmm now i wonder what this will do and it may be interesting to see progress so i decided as they are now finished the QT lets give it a go and i feel like a punt on this one so she is now swimming around in the QT and settled in well and i am looking forward to seeing how this one comes along
Here is the fish when it cam in at 32cm
Here it is now and 35cm so not bad growth in the QT period

The only thing is that at the end of the day its a Showa and so much can happen but thats part of the fun to see if you can get the best out of the fish and bring them on to their full potential so a test of not only picking the fish but also on the koi keeping skills
So next year ill post a picture of me pouting an old munter in the main pond
Definitely Showa... and has THE ingredient for me... it has a lot to do... and the fun of fingers crossed this could be something truly special... that is a graet choice for development imo and really look forward to seeing how it develops Gaz, nice one mate
shhh don't tell anyone but love showa above all as I look at a baby and then I drift off into the future where the pattern is resolved JUST as I imagine it will be with new sumi creating a deep glossy unique pattern that says "Limeys Showa beat this!" Good luck my mate... reason showa stays number 1 to me... now ok got me, as you say, converted to kohaku... now just sanke to go... so only a part convert :P
