Yes she is staying inside in the warmth this winter and will move outside when it warms up a bit
Hopefully i can give her a good start and keep her in good shape with a few more CM by the time she moves out. I had forgot to write the sizes down but i think she was 54cm.
Hi Gav,
She is OK a little bit like your Sanke which for some reason i have not got a picture of
Growing well and looking good... following its development with interest Gaz - that is some growth especially for a showa. Feel the start of a thread on development goals coming on heh . Anyway please keep regular updates Gaz, love watching the changes.
That makes it much easier. The promised sumi is coming real nice... in particular the V shape on the head. The beni looks good, and stronger even - that is so importsnt I think in Showa. I think that how good a showa ends up comes down a lot to how the head and shoulder sumi ends up, kind of defining. Assuming the fish ends up 'balanced' and think yours is most def improving... the other thing that for me is key is the motomoro [sp] - sumi in pecs - sheesh like you said my mate, 3 colours so many things that can go wrong genetic wise and chance of the balance and interesting looking koi at the end all in laps of the Gods... showa gotta love em . Davej's developing showa and what that breeder is trying to do with a new line is very interesting too... know about the pic taking heh, plan maybe to show this year or next then my pic taking skills cant be an excuse haha
Had her out for a quick look today and she didn't like being in the small bowl and seems to be filling out OK so far and is now 61cm so roll on the warmer weather and she will be going out in the main pond to finish off and hopefully be a half decent Showa....................fingers crossed
