no but i have eaten some they taste nice ;Dno not really yes there are some eating the others i have three aquariums set up and try to keep the bigger cannibals together last night i had the head of one hanging out of anothers mouth it looked like a 2 headed koi.Could ave made millions 8)

Is this the first lot of babies you have bred???
What`s the body shape like as I have seen some english bred koi that tend to be short and dumpy???

hi dazz ,no i have bred them once before the first lot were nothing special but the body shape was fine..this years are great (last years babies),the body shape colour and growth is 100% better..different diet this year and the main two spawning were a top kohaku (show winner) and my big (female) komunryu..so far i have showa,s,kohaku,Chagoi,kujaku,komunryu,sanke...not one ogon at all a lot are still developing so only time will tell..i did have the usual amount of bent up tails or mishaped bodies but ive not the heart to cull em.will post some pics of them let me know your veiws...
I FORGOT TO SAY I TOOK EXTREMES ADVICE AND GOT MYSELF THREE AQUARIUMS (ONES HUGE) AND BROUGHT THEM IN FOR WINTER..THERE ARE ABOUT 200-250 IN ALL,THEY WILL GO BACK OUTSIDE IN TO A WAITING SET UP SPRING..DONT TELL THE JAPANESE BREEDERS,THEY WILL BE AFTER THEM LOL. ;D
