Rep Power: 1 | Re: New Food and Feeding System Section Added Mice ! Are you winding us up ?
Are they Koi or Pirannah you've got in there? !!!!
See if you can catch / shoot a heron and feed them "Roast Heron a l'orange"
Now there's a good idea !
Mine are on a much more bland diet of:
EA One, Kusuri Premium, Kusuri Silkworm Pupae,
and fresh Prawns, ( like me they prefer tiger prawns best, but more often than not we have to contend with Morrisons little ones, unless I do the shopping ! It's quite normal for me to open a full carton and we all eat them,
"1 for me, 1 for them, until they're gone !
Luckily "her indoors" doesn't like prawns !
Just like me, they wont eat brown bread !
Only the ones over 2foot seem to like orange segments !
I've long since given up with lettuce leaves, only Mrs. Chagoi seems to like them ! I've tried crispy Cos, ordinary Round, but no joy!
I constantly search for earthworms, they go mad for them !
When it rains I'm outside collecting slugs and snails to feed them !
I just gently step on the snail shells to crack them first !
( Stopped using slug pellets a full year before pond was built, and next-door is too lazy to do gardening, so def. poison free.)
I'm thinking of buying EA Shrimp, but it's only in 5 litre, not 5 kg tubs!
Anyone used them ? |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: New Food and Feeding System Section Added Sweetcorn is really bad for koi so is peas and carbourhydrates as they cannot digest it properly.
They love eating oranges by the way, if anybody didnt know that, just cut a big orange in half and let it float on the top, they should start choming away at it. if the orange doesnt sink, hold it slightly in the water, this will also ncourage the fish from eating out of your hands and becomig friendlier.
i also feed my koi wholemeal bread, but not muh as this is a carb, but its ood for them in small amounts.
prawmns are good to feed koi but this is a very expensive food to give to koi so i hardly give them it |
