Description

The player who rolled the die may not bid on his or her own painting in a private auction. The winning bidder takes the painting and the value card. The game utilizes bluffing skills because the players possess asymmetrical information about the value of the paintings they possess. Some pictures are known to their owners to be 'forgeries' with an actual value of zero. These 'forgeries' can, however, be resold to other players or to the bank with the value hidden. Play passes to the next player to the left after a high bidder has paid and received his painting and value card.

He and each of the other players may, but are not required to, bid on the top painting in the pile on the board. The value of the painting will not be known except to the high bidder who draws the painting and top value card after he pays the bank. Freeman, Jon (1979). The Playboy Winner's Guide to Board Games. He may, if he desires, pay the bank the amount specified and he then receives the top painting together with the top value card. Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections—they may also appear in recommendations and other places. Rolling doubles does not permit a second consecutive turn. He then takes whatever steps he chooses within the following rules:
