Lastly, it would be best if you had a strap that can twist but not break. You'll be putting the head strap through the wringer, so the side pieces need to hold up to that. While the cloth strap that ships with the Quest 2 might be considered good enough to start with, gamers who play a lot in VR will find that it leaves a lot to be desired. This is especially true if you're a power user that plays the best Quest 2 games for hours at a time or wants to use a mouse and keyboard in VR. The headset is just too front-heavy to be comfortable for long. Ultra-durable - Withstand over 10,000 bending and recovery cycles lab-tested with extreme strength, durability and long lasting side straps. If you prefer the comfort of an Elite-style strap with its extra-tight fit, KIWI Design has a superb battery head strap that triples the Quest 2's battery life and still finds ways to make the headset comfortable to wear. A big battery like this adds quite a bit of extra weight, which you can feel in your cheekbones after long play sessions if you don't have one of the best Quest 2 face covers. Silicone gasket is actually pretty nice and you can wipe it off easily for different users. I’ll need to try it longer, but I might just leave this one on.

Just be aware that official Quest 2 Elite Straps aren't compatible with Quest 3 headsets. If you bought a BOBOVR M2 Head Strap, the company has developed a retrofit kitto make that compatible with Quest 3. Similarly, KIWI Design also released a conversion kit. If you're seeking a battery head strap for some extra charge, more details on that further down.Previously, we rounded up the Quest 3 accessories available at launch but we've since gone hands-on with different options and are confident in providing our recommendations. Alongside Meta's official accessories, expect more third-party options from companies over time, some of whom are included in the ' Made For Meta' program. We'll revisit them as more options become available. If you've got one of the best portable chargers or power banks and would rather get a strap that utilizes one of these, I'd recommend thinking twice. While it might sound tempting to grab one of the many Quest 2 head straps that allow you to simply slap in a power bank you already own — like the Ahroy elite strap with battery holder pictured above — the quality and overall design of most of these straps is usually pretty bad. While you can use any bluetooth headphones or earbuds with Quest 3 – alongside 3.5mm wired headphones – Bluetooth's inherent latency issues mean wireless bluetooth sets usually won't work well in VR. So, you're better off looking for 3.5mm headphones or ones with a USB-C dongle.

Eighteen-month warranty - Rest assured with our eighteen-month warranty, provides reliable support. Looking for a gun attachment for your Touch Pro controllers? We've not seen many yet beyond ProTubeVR. On Quest 3, they have a few options currently available. One complaint I have involves the strap itself, which is too rigid for my liking. If you think a rigid leather-like strap is more your style than the cloth type that other grips use, you'll be pretty happy here. I've had some other folks try these grips, and they liked the feeling, so this is most certainly a preference thing. Note: Virtual Desktop developer Guy Godin has reported an early issue with Quest 3 and how it connects over Wi-Fi. For now, it appears the headset has network performance issues with routers running in Wi-Fi 5 (AC) mode. The issue disappears when switching the router to Wi-Fi 6 (AX) or Wi-Fi 6e (AXE) mode. The KIWI VR Stand is perfect for the Quest 2 or any other VR headset you have, thanks to its universal size and swiveling controller arms. Bottom line

If you've used an Oculus Quest 2 for any length of time, you'll know one of the worst parts of the headset design is the cloth strap it ships with. While the comfort level highly depends on the size and shape of your head, as well as whether you've got long or short hair, the strap remains one of the least sanitary parts of the entire headset if you're someone using the Quest 2 as a way to work out regularly.

The best Meta Quest 2 head straps

To keep this list varied with price, purpose and quality, we've included multiple options on each segment while highlighting our preferred choices. Accessories are never a one-size-fits-all choice, so we're aiming to account for personal preferences.

Long-wearing Soft - Engineered to position the soft, adjustable earcups with multiple adjustable angles to form a perfect fit, exerting minimal pressure on your ears and providing a long-wear comfort experience you never had before. The result is the most comfortable, fog-free facial interface I've ever used on any VR headset. Better yet, because of KIWI's placement of the velcro pads that the actual pad uses to affix to the interface itself, you can swap out several different kinds of pads that might fit your personal needs better. I tried out some of the pads available from VR Cover, and they worked admirably, although the lower velcro locations are best suited for KIWI's own pads. All new Oculus Quest 2 headsets might ship with a simple silicone face cover — and existing Quest 2 owners can request one— yet most face pads for VR headsets, in general, suffer from one big problem: lens fogging. So whether it's midwinter and your lenses are fogging up because they're cold, or it's the end of August, and the heat and humidity are the culprits for foggy lenses, the result is the same. Thankfully, KIWI's facial interface solves this problem no matter the season. For now, we'd recommend the Soundcore VR P10 Earbuds. It's a comfortable and completely wireless option that plugs into the Quest 3's USB-C port through a dongle and comes with a rechargeable case. That's improved further by the dongle including a passthrough USB-C port, so you can still charge your headset simultaneously. Perfect Fit - KIWI design Comfort Head Strap provides superior stability, keeping Quest 3 on your face.
