Yes Freddy, but it's not that formal, he asks people to ring first as he can then make himself available, he could be anywhere at anytime, no use turning up and he's out, not for me anyway as it's a 400 mile round trip.
Hmm, you reckon I should ask him when his bargains are coming in? The way I see it (and I'm quite happy to be corrected), it's about taking a chance on a smaller fish. Problem is, I've messaged Mike several times about when more of his "budget" fish will be in, and he doesn't reply, either by phone, or via his site. Maybe he's not interested when it comes to the 'little' people?
You need to put on some weight then Freddy
I'm used to the rejection there is nothing personal, just the pace of life down Bristol way and yes they do go quick.
Best buy one better quality fish a year with potential than 3 that turn out naff. Been there done it.
With a budget of say £250-£300 a spring Tosai probably advertised in late April /May is a chance worth taking but thats my take on it and the challenge is then yours.
he asks people to ring first as he can then make himself available, Al.
As I said...."Problem is, I've messaged Mike several times about when more of his "budget" fish will be in, and he doesn't reply, either by phone, or via his site."
I think your going to see lots of these out there in the coming years and you will have the cheap nasty ,good quality and value for money ones . I see the profidrum as good quality, so for that I payed the price and I am happy to do that. I ve seen these running with twice as many koi in a pond that I will have with fantastic water . There maintenance free so no need for cleaning everyday or week like a sieve or vortex and as the waste is removed instantly your TDS should be lower .
Ryan
Hi Ryan
Sounds good and looks good to me but do they have to be under cover? and with that fine mesh, will it be able to cope with high water input or is it only part of the water that goes through the mesh? It looks to me that most of the water runs over the mesh and not through it but only seen it on youtube. Does it all actually go through the mesh?

Hello shevy
I've got the 65 and I can pull 13000 gallons an hour though the drum , which more than 3 times the amount you can pull though an ultra sieve . All the water that enters the drum will go though the mesh as it's the only way out , the reason for the lid is so when the hi pressure jets kick in to clean the mesh the spray doesnt go everywhere
never been down to yume koi but with a bit of luck this year hopefully.
my friends go down there quite a bit (as some of you say out of my league, well most are out of mine as well).
but if you go certain times of the year mike has tosai in and can be from approx £250, but some koi not tosai go to £10000.(yikes need a second mortgage). lol
