Ilovefish,

We was worried about fitting one but someone said that we would regret it if we didnt and they were right! Talk to Richard at Atlantica gardens, he is sooo helpful.

Regards Mark

I very much agree with Mark, i myself never put a window in my pond but having just seen my friend put one in his pond i for sure will be fitting one next time round.

To both marks ...as you say talk to richard, as i said before richard downloaded instrution to me for fitting without frame.
Simply cut out "L" shape 40mm groove onto inside blockwork [both sides and bottom--infinity] make opening 10mm wider and 5mm taller[infinity] than the glass/plastic.
fit 5mm packers to sides and bottom of blockwork, packers need to be thinner then the glass/plastic thickness[ so if your glass/plastic is 25.5mm make packer 15mm..reason...so you can get seal all round once packers are centred ...not forgetting on outer edge [viewing side] packer thickness here needs to be so window is flush to inside blockwork.[pond side]
For liner 40mm mastic seal or fibreglass to existing fibre glass blockwork on all three sides.
Dont for get richard can order frame or glass or both direct to you.

Hi Whiskey,

Sorry the second mention about Richard was for ilovefish, I choose the my window with the frame, the one that you build into the wall (no screws) the down side is that its more money but the glass sits 9" from the inside of the pond.

Regards Mark

your correct mark but my blocks[100mm thick] will be laid flat , so i make the cut out from 220mm hollow dence block with reinforcement steelwork [ window wall] thus super strong window.

You shouldn't need holow blocks and steel unless your pond is going to be high out of the ground. All my walls, including the window one are standard 7kn blocks laid flat.
