butterfly koi carp why dont you lot seem to keep them, think there stunning fish and would like a few but am hesitant as you lot dont keep any!
is there any reason

They're not my cuppa tea at all but if you like them go for it

If you like em, - go buy them, I think they are more prone to fin damage and would`nt win shows. Probably also a must to have a heated pond to lessen any low temp damage to fins.

Personally I just cant see what is stunning about them? Koi dont need add ons to look majestic, bit like an E type and an XJS.

i like them ive not got one but have thought about one just to add some varierty to my pond but i think you do get alot of snobery in the koi world

They are a favourite with the lady's but loose there attraction after a year or two as they grow. They stay slim and the fins become tatty.

well i dont like them but pondy used to have them in his pond
i would imagine he won some thing with it as he normally does
